alice in e-book

alice's adventure in wonderland- lewis carroll

i google this title today and i came across a site that gave a free e-book so i download it. it just 130 pages. i was just curious what is so interesting about the story that makes tim burton adapt it to a movie.

now that i finished reading it, i found out that almost the entire movie was not as the same as the story itself. some of the characters are there, but the story line is almost totally different.

after reading and watching, i like the movie most. why? hmm…could i say that the movie has its own point. well, alice fall down the hole with a purpose…to save the wonderland from the red queen. in the book it just alice's adventure..having encounter with different 'creatures'.

but the story has it own interesting part. for those like to learn new words and words that we not familiar with, then this is the books. some of the words make you read twice to understand that phrase. and how he beautifully play with words.

the follow is part of the conversation between alice, the mock turtle and gryphon-

’And how many hours a day did you do lessons?’ said Alice, in a hurry to change the subject.

’Ten hours the first day,’ said the Mock Turtle: ‘nine the next, and so on.’

’What a curious plan!’ exclaimed Alice.

’That’s the reason they’re called lessons,’ the Gryphon remarked: ‘because they lessen from day to day.’

so why not, find this book or just download it and try to read it. happy reading.
