The Lost Symbol

i choose this book because this is the latest book i finished reading it.

i bought this book on 14 december 2009 ..actually i want to wait for the paperback version, but borders gave 20% discount for this hardcover version when you buy another book. without second thought i bought this book together with eclipse ( the 3rd series of twilight)

lost symbol is 3rd 'adventure' of dr. robert langdon after the da vinci code and angel and demon. the background took place in washington dc when he got an invitation from a friend, peter solomon to give a lecture at US capitol building. when he arrived, not only he found out that there was no such event but also he once again start his 'journey' as a fugitive. this time from CIA.

as his previous books, code, symbols, history is the main subject here. this time about the secret world of Masonic and Ancient Mystery. Peter Solomon is actually one of the Masons that has been kidnapped. and his right hand was found in the building. together with peter solomon's sister,Katherine, they try to find peter. the only clues are peter's hand, and the small pyramid.

from US capitol to smithsonian museum to House of temple. we will wander around washington in this book. it is like i want to go to these places and 'feel' the 'journey' myself. the same feeling when i read the other two books. hehehe…even though the plot is predictable i recommend this book.

the other reason why i like this book, simply because of the philosophy behind this book. knowledge and learning. learning is essential to every man so that we gain knowledge.

to live in the world without becoming aware of the meaning of the world is like wandering about in a great library without touching the books. - the lost symbol.
